I’ve just returned from a fantastic week in Portugal, where I picked my way along my favorite beaches (Carriagem!!) for hours and hours, surfed (eeegad- I’m back to the level I was at 18 years ago!), ate lulinhas and arroz de polvo, visited my dear dear friend Sara and her 3 men (Nuno, 34, Vicente, 6, and Benjamin, 3) in Lisboa, hiked in the mountains above Monchique, camped out, got eaten by mosquitos and burned by the sun, etc., etc., etc…
